CANCELLING REHEARSAL; GOING ZOOM!!

Après avoir entendu jeudi dernier que nous allions commencer la nouvelle saison de chant lundi prochain, il y a eu beaucoup de discussions en coulisses pour savoir si nous devions vraiment le faire.
Un certain nombre de personnes nous ont dit qu’elles ne viendraient pas (merci pour votre message attentionné !) parce qu’elles pensaient que le risque était trop grand pour elles-mêmes et pour les autres.
En même temps, d’autres personnes nous ont dit qu’elles voulaient vraiment y aller. Ils pensent que nous sommes en danger partout, que la vie doit être vécue (carpe diem !) et que nous pourrions chanter à une distance appropriée les uns des autres.
Si la situation dans le Lot devait changer, nous pourrons toujours passer au plan B plus tard : chanter les uns avec les autres.
Et peut-être que ceux qui ont dit avoir eu des difficultés à zoomer l’année dernière pourraient faire un essai …
Il n’est pas facile de parvenir à une décision unanime dans notre société polarisée. Par définition, il y aura toujours des gens qui ne seront pas d’accord avec la décision.
En concertation avec Anke, nous avons décidé d’annuler le chant dans le SdF.
Nous sommes vraiment désolés de décevoir un certain nombre de personnes, mais la prudence est de mise en ces temps.
Nous allons travailler à travers Zoom afin de donner quelques merveilleux concerts au printemps et à l’été prochains.
Anke vous enverra un message cet après-midi au sujet du programme et de la manière dont vous pouvez participer au zoom-singing.
Nous espérons que de nombreuses personnes participeront afin que la préparation des concerts soit optimale. Lorsque la situation le permettra, nous pourrons nous réunir à nouveau au sein du SdF et chacun connaîtra sa propre ligne mélodique.

After you were informed last Thursday that we would be starting the new singing season next Monday, there was a lot of discussion behind the scenes as to whether we should actually do so.
We heard from a number of people that they would not be coming (thank you for your thoughtful messages!) because they felt the risk was too great for themselves and others.
At the same time, there were others who told us they really wanted to sing. They think that we are at risk everywhere, life has to be lived (carpe diem!) and we could sing at an appropriate distance from each other.
If the situation in the Lot should change, we can always switch to plan B later: singing with each other.
And maybe those who said they had trouble zooming last year could give it a try …
It is not easy to come to a unanimous decision in our polarised society. By definition, there will always be people who do not agree with the decision.
In consultation with Anke we decided to cancel the singing in the SdF.
We are very sorry to disappoint a number of people but caution in these times is a good thing.
We are going to work through Zoom in order to give a few wonderful concerts next spring and summer.
Anke will send you a message this afternoon about the programme and how you can participate in the zoom-singing.
Hopefully a lot of people will participate so that the preparations for the concerts will be optimal. When the situation allows it, we can come together again in the SdF and everyone will know his or her own melody line.
On to the new season!

DOORGAAN OF CANCELLEN?? CANCEL!
Nadat jullie afgelopen donderdag bericht kregen dat we komende maandag het nieuwe zangseizoen zouden beginnen, is er achrer de schermen veel besproken of we dat daadwerkelijk zouden moeten doen.
We hoorden van een aantal mensen dat ze niet zouden komen (dank voor jullie attente berichtgeving!) omdat ze voor zichzelf en anderen het risico te groot vonden.
Tegelijkertijd waren er anderen die ons vertellen heel graag te willen gaan zingen. Zij vinden dat we nu eenmaal overal risico lopen, het leven ook geleefd moet worden (carpe diem!) en we op gepaste afstand van elkaar zouden kunnen zingen.
Wanneer de situatie in de Lot zich zou wijzigen kunnen we later altijd nog overgaan naar plan B: het zoomen met elkaar.
En mogelijk kunnen diegenen die het afgelopen jaar zeiden moeite te hebben met zoomen het eens proberen …
Het is niet makkelijk om in onze gepolariseerde samenleving tot een eensluidend besluit te komen. Er zullen per definitie immers altkjd mensen zijn die het niet eens zijn met het besluit.
In overleg met Anke hebben toch besloten het zingen in de SdF te cancellen.
We vinden het heel jammer een aantal mensen te moeten teleurstellen maar voorzichtigheid is in deze tijd een goede zaak.
We gaan via zoom gericht aan de slag om komend voorjaar en zomer een paar prachtige concerten te gaan geven.
Anke zal jullie vanmiddag bericht sturen omtrent het programma en hoe jullie deel kunnen nemen aan het zoom-zingen.
Hopelijk zullen er veel mensen mee gaan doen zodat de voorbereidingen voor de concerten optimaal verlopen. Wanneer de situatie het toelaat kunnen we weer samen komen in de SdF en kent iedereen zijn of haar eigen melodielijn.
Op naar het nieuwe seizoen!
